How MediaEditAI handles information. The short version: your files never leave your device, so there is nothing for us to collect.

MediaEditAI ("we", "us") operates the website mediaeditai.com, which provides free online tools for editing images and PDF documents. This policy explains what information we collect, what we do not collect, and the choices you have.

This is the most important thing to understand about the site, and it is a technical fact rather than a promise about our intentions.
Every tool on MediaEditAI runs entirely inside your web browser, using your own device's processing power. When you open an image or a PDF in one of our tools, the file is read locally, processed locally, and saved locally. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
You can verify this yourself. Load any tool page, disconnect your device from the internet, and the tool will continue to work normally. Nothing is uploaded, which is why there is nothing for us to see, store, or lose.
Consequently we hold no copy of your documents, we cannot access them, and no employee, contractor, advertiser or third party can either. This applies to photographs, contracts, bank statements, identity documents and everything else you process on the site.
While your files stay on your device, operating a website still involves some data. Here is the complete picture.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, addresses or payment details, because the site has no accounts and nothing to pay for.
MediaEditAI is free because it is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads.
Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on that activity. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings, and you can review how Google handles data at policies.google.com.

Advertisers never see your files. Because your documents are processed on your own device and never sent anywhere, there is no mechanism by which any advertising partner could access, analyse or target based on their contents.
Depending on your location you may be shown a consent banner allowing you to accept or refuse non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored so you are not asked repeatedly, and you can change it at any time.
A small number of external resources are loaded to make the site work.
When your browser requests a file from one of these services, that service can see your IP address, as is the case for any resource loaded on any website. These providers have their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Note that the libraries are downloaded to your device; your files are never sent to them.
Depending on where you live, data protection law such as the European GDPR gives you rights over personal data held about you. These include the right to access it, correct it, request its deletion, object to certain processing, and lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
In practice, the data we hold about any individual is minimal, since we operate no accounts and store no files. The most substantial record is likely to be an email you sent us. To ask what we hold, or to have it deleted, write to mediaeditai7@gmail.com and we will respond within thirty days.
For cookies specifically, you can clear or block them in your browser settings at any time, and use the advertising opt-out links in section 4.
MediaEditAI is a general-purpose utility website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13, or under the applicable age of digital consent in their country.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We keep what little we hold only as long as it serves a purpose. Server logs are retained for a short period for security and diagnostics. Contact emails are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation and any follow-up.
The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and the server is encrypted. The strongest security measure, however, is architectural rather than technical: because your files never reach a server, there is no store of user documents that could be breached, leaked or subpoenaed.
We may update this policy as the site changes or as legal requirements evolve. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
Material changes will be made clear on the site rather than published quietly. Continuing to use MediaEditAI after a change means you accept the updated policy.
